1. Thomas Nock was born on 12 Nov 1617 in England. He died on 26/29 Oct 1666 in Dover, Strafford County, New Hampshire. He was buried in Dover, Strafford County, New Hampshire.

Thomas is listed as having formed his household in Dover, NH by the year 1652 in the ” Maine & New Hampshire Genealogical Dictionary.”

Some researchers have Thomas as being from Shropshire in England, but I have been unable to verify this.

Thomas married Rebecca Tibbetts daughter of Henry Tibbetts and Elizabeth Austin in 1653 in Dover Neck, Strafford County, New Hampshire. Rebecca was born in Jul 1636 in Dover Neck, Strafford County, New Hampshire. She died on 30 Mar 1680 in Dover Neck, Strafford County, New Hampshire. She was buried in Dover, Strafford County, New Hampshire.

They had the following children:

2 M i Thomas Nock was born on 26 Mar 1654 in Dover, Strafford County, New Hampshire. He died on 21 Oct 1677 in Dover Neck, Strafford County, New Hampshire.

THOMAS NOCK 1676/1677 DOVER

In the Name of God amen the ffifteene day of ffeburary in ye Yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred Seaventy Six I Thomas Nock of ye township of Dover in ye County of Dover & Portsmouth being sick & weake of body * * *
It I give to my Brother Silvanus Nock twentie Acars of Land being part of the Land which was granted to my ffather Tho Nock & to Joyne Next to ye Land of Thomas Beard betweene Cochecha & the marsh com’only Called Nockes marash –
It I give to my sister Rebecca Nock twentie acars of Land being part of the aforesaid parcell of Land, and to Joyne to my Brother Silvanus twentie acars before mencioned (provided) it doe not reach to ye marsh called Nockes marsh nor to ye plains adjoyning to ye said marsh
It I make my Brother Henrie Nock my Lawfull Heire of all my Lands (vidd) the twentie acars of Land at Cochecha adjoyning by Thomas Downes his Lott & also all the Lands Lying at Nocks marsh which was my ffathers except the ffourtie acars before given to my Brother & Sister –
It I give to my Brother Silvanu Nock my two steeares & plow chaine & my Chest & all my bedding & my wareing apparell
It I give to my Sister Rebecca Nock my white face hiffer being two yeare old –
It I give to my Unckle Jerimre Tibbets one ewe sheep –
It I give to my Brother Henrie Nock my Muskuet & my bible
It I doe make my dear & tender Mother Rebecca Binmore to be my sole Executorix of all my estate not formerly expressed & I desire my veri good frind John Roberts to be my over seer & with my mother to see this my will performed

Sylvanus Nock made choice of Lieut. Peter Coffin to be his guardian June 27, 1676.

Bond of Rebecca Binmore of Dover, widow, to John Roberts of Dover, in the sum of 27 pounds, to pay to Henry Nock 13.4.0 pounds in cattle,sheep, or swine when he shall become 21 years of age. “The Condition of this p’sent obligation is such that where as the above said John Roberts was by the desire of Henrie Tibbits of Dover deceased & also by the order of the Court chosen & appointed overseer of Henrie Nock Son of Thomas Nock deceased & where as Rebecca Binmore afore said Mother to the said Henrie Nock is contented to take the Care & tusion of the said Henrie Nock Untill he accomplish the age of one & twentie years & hath Received of the said John Roberts soe much Cattle sheep & swine as doth amount to the sum of thirteene pounds & ffower shilling.”
“John Roberts came into Court held in Dover 1 June 1680 and rendered up to ye Court this bond & estate menconed which ye court have put into ye hands of wm willy & have taken security fro him to respond ye same when said Henri Nock coms to 21 years of age”

Guardianship of Henry Nock was granted to William Willey June 1, 1680, he being chosen by the ward. The court binds the ward to his guardian for seven years, to learn the trade of shoe-maker, and at the end of that time he is to receive his legacy of 13.4.0 pounds, for which his mother is bound by bond.

6 M v Henry Nock was born on 8 Feb 1667 in Dover, Strafford County, New Hampshire. He died in 1714 in Dover, Strafford County, New Hampshire. He was buried in Dover, Strafford County, New Hampshire.

Henry was employed as a weaver in Dover, even though he was apprenticed to a shoe-maker, William Willey.
Henry married Sarah Adams daughter of Charles Adams and Rebecca Smith on 10 Jan 1691 in Durham, Strafford County, New Hampshire. Sarah was born in 1671 in Durham, Strafford County, New Hampshire.
