We want to applaud our young College student, Destenie Nock. She is an engineering student, volunteering in East Africa.
I will be visiting the Library of Virginia later this week. I’ve spent time on their website, but have never visited in person. A good friend of mine who is my mentor when it comes to the study of Genealogy, has been telling me for quite some time that I need to go to Richmond, Virginia and visit the Library. If your family is from the State of Virginia, there are certain records that can only be found there. I will post the results of my visit upon my return.

This is a very interesting book on the early history of the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Though there were Nocks in New England early in the colonial period, most Nocks in America can trace their families to Accomack {Accawmacke} County, Virginia. Click on the link below to read online.
